Shift Leader required to join a local Logistics and Freight Handling Company. The Shift Leader will be expected to lead, direct and oversee all the activities of the staff on their ‘shift’, including airside operations, logistics, warehouse and office duties, generally ensuring the smooth running of the Jersey operation in conjunction with the Operations Co-Ordinator and Depot Manager.
The Shift Leader will be responsible for ensuring seamless processing of freight and other customer products travelling by sea, air or road ensuring adherence to Group documented processes, SLA’s and Legislative requirements. Responsibility for monitoring staff and identification of staff training needs the shift leader will work closely with the Customer Services Function and other Group Depots to ensure group wide consistency.
Due to the physical nature of the position, the role requires the post holder to be physically fit, additionally you will be confident in and have experience dealing with people of all levels and multiple personality types.
A background in Logistics and/or Airline Handling would be advantageous, supervisory experience is preferred. Full training for the role will be given and the postholder will be expected to complete several mandatory and preferred training courses
